Core Function
What a PSIM Does
Subsystem Integration
Connects PIDS, CCTV, access control, fire, and OT alerting into one platform.
Common Operating Picture
Live site map with sensor and alarm status for full situational awareness.
Guided Response
Standard operating procedures presented to operators for each alarm type.
Unified Audit Trail
Every event across every subsystem logged centrally for compliance reporting.
Why It Matters
Multi-Vendor, Multi-Site Reality
Multi-Site Facilities
Correlate events across multiple locations from one regional or national SOC.
Vendor Agnostic
Integrates equipment from different manufacturers rather than requiring a single-vendor stack.
Scalable Architecture
Add new sensors, sites, and subsystems without replacing the platform.
FAQ
PSIM Platform - FAQ
How is PSIM different from a standard VMS?
A video management system (VMS) manages cameras and recordings. A PSIM sits above the VMS and every other security subsystem, correlating events across all of them, such as linking a PIDS alarm, the resulting camera view, and a nearby access control event into one incident, which a VMS alone cannot do.
Can a PSIM integrate equipment from multiple manufacturers?
Yes, that is the core purpose of a PSIM. It is designed to be vendor-agnostic, integrating access control, CCTV, PIDS, and other subsystems from different manufacturers through standard interfaces and drivers into one unified operator platform.
Does a PSIM support multi-site operations across Saudi Arabia?
Yes. A PSIM can aggregate data from multiple facilities, such as sites in Riyadh, the Eastern Province, and NEOM, into a single regional or national security operations center, giving centralized oversight while retaining local, site-level response capability.
